Is it free?: Yes. Making a profile, matching, talking and meeting are all free, and always will be. Everybody sees five people a day, whether they pay or not. The membership buys control rather than volume: filters for the things that actually matter to you, a say in who can reach you, and a few other things. Everybody who joins in the first month gets it free for 30 days.
What does verification actually do?: You record a short selfie in a pose we choose at random, and a person compares it with the photos on your profile. It establishes that a real person controls the account and that they look like their pictures. It is not a background check and we do not screen anybody.
Why only five people a day?: Because an endless feed turns into a slot machine and nobody reads anything. Five is few enough that you look properly. Everybody gets five, members included, and the number goes up as the community grows.
Is it on iPhone and Android?: Both, from day one.
Do you sell my data?: No, and there is no advertising in the app. The privacy policy lists everything we collect, everyone who touches it, and exactly how long we keep each thing. If you have only joined the waitlist, the one thing we hold is your email address, and that is covered here.
I typed my birthday wrong. Can I fix it?: Write to us and we will correct it. Your birthday is set once when you make your profile, so there is no way to change it yourself, but it is a quick fix at our end.
What happens to my photos if I leave?: You can delete your account from inside the app. After 21 days, in which signing back in cancels it, everything is purged. Your verification selfie is deleted as soon as a reviewer has decided on it.
